Behan's Lodge is situated on the Wild Atlantic Way between Kilkee and Spanish Point. The west of Clare has plenty to offer for all tastes. The scenic along west coast in Clare including the Cliffs of Moher, Loop Head and the Burren region - are all within easy reach of Behan's Lodge.

The B&B is located 5 mins. from the entrance to the prestigious Doonbeg Golf Club designed by Greg Norman. The par-72 layout features a single loop of nine holes out and nine back, the ever changing wind causing consistent variation in play. Most holes feature five or more tee locations. More exciting golf courses are in short driving distances, in Kilkee, Kilrush, Spanish Point and in Lahinch.
Doonbeg Golf Links
Doughmore Strand is one of the most beautiful beaches on Clare's West Coast. Over 2.5 km of beautiful clean sand offers plenty of room for walking and enjoying the ever changing Irish skies and the rolling Atlantic waves. These waters are among the best in Ireland for surfing but are not safe for swimming. However, Blue Flag beaches like White Strand near Doonbeg, Cappa Pier near Kilrush, White Strand near Miltown Malbay as well as the sandy beaches of Quilty and Spanish Point are all only a short driving distance away.
Doonbeg
Doonbeg village is home to various pubs, with traditional and contempary musical entertainment on many nights in the season and on weekends in off season. Doonbeg is also hosting a Jazz Festival on Bank Holiday in June, featuring national and international Jazz Bands; as well as home for the Willi Keane Festival with traditional music & dance on the last weekend in October.
Loop Head Peninsula
15 mins. away is the seaside town of Kilkee with a scenic sheltered harbour and beach, a favourite Irish holiday destination. The spectacular rocky coast along Loop Head Peninsula is one of Ireland's most scenic coastlines.

The west of Clare has plenty to offer for all tastes. The scenic and historic sights of County Clare - including the Cliffs of Moher, Loop Head and the Burren region - are all within easy reach of Behan's Lodge.
